## RankKW versus the alternatives

RankKW is compared against three other Etsy tools: **Everbee**, **eHunt**,
and **eRank**. Setup: install the RankKW browser extension and work from
there.

## Shop criteria: what the top listings need to show

These criteria are for judging a **shop**. The criteria for choosing a
**keyword** come from a later class and are in [Finding Etsy keywords in
bulk: three methods and the selection
formula](etsy-keyword-research-in-bulk.md).[^owner-clarification-2026-09-24]

Look at the **first 10 listings** for a candidate keyword, and check
them against these requirements:

- At least **2 of those 10 listings** should be **under 3 months old**,
  proof that a new listing can still break in.
- Those listings should have **more than 2,500 views**.

### Reading the numbers

- **Sale**: shown in colour: green means sales are rising, red means
  falling, any other colour means stable.
- **Revenue**: this is *after* Etsy's commission and tax are already cut
  out, not the listing's raw price.
- **Conversion rate**: should be **at least 3%** minimum.

## Assignment

1. Pick any keyword, look at its top 10 listings, and confirm none of them
   is older than 3 months, with 50+ sales each.
2. Reverse-engineer the shop **"SerenatesJourney"**.
