Chapter 7 of the Local SEO, AEO & GEO course notes, from Sir Khurram Malik's advanced AI usage lecture.

Sir's message

Do not skip live sessions. Once you fall behind, it is hard to become regular again. Show dedication.1

The main concept

Find where competitors are weak, cover those gaps, and give better content and better UX for a better ranking.1

Google's focus is to reduce the user's cost of retrieval: complete topics, complete answers, complete UX, all in one place.1

Real user data: the gold mine for content

Sources: Reddit, Quora, YouTube, Medium, LinkedIn, PAA, Behance.

From these platforms, collect questions, pain points, problems, experiences and expectations.1

Stage 1: competitor GMB reviews analysis

  1. Open your website dashboard, ChatGPT and GSC.
  2. Search Google for primary keyword + city and identify the competitors.
  3. Read their reviews: why 5 stars? Why 2 or 3 stars? What are the pain points?

Positive and negative reviews are equally important.1

The prompt sequence

Prompt 1: AI warm-up

You are an SEO expert with decades of experience in local businesses. Update yourself with 2026 trends in SEO, AEO, GEO, EEAT, LLMs, AI Overview, NLP and user intent.

Prompt 2: market research

I'm a [niche] business in [City]. Please conduct complete market research: business, customers, competitors, local landscape, everything to outperform competitors.

Prompt 3: reviews analysis

Here are competitor GMB reviews. Identify: semantic entities, pain points, frustrations, what customers appreciate, 5-star reasons, negative review reasons, common problems, expectations. Give me data for: website content, FAQs, semantic entities, blog posts, new pages.

Prompt 4: blog ideas

Please give me blog post ideas based on this review data.

Stage 2: Google Search Console data

Export your GSC data: queries, pages, countries, keywords, performance.1

GSC prompt (ChatGPT)

This is my Search Console data. Website is approx [X] days old. Deeply analyze and suggest priority improvements. Identify: what's working, where weak, which pages need improvement, which keywords need better targeting, which new pages to create.

Claude implementation

Evaluate these recommendations and implement relevant improvements on my website.

Tip

ChatGPT for analysis, Claude for implementation: use the two together.

Stage 3: SEMrush keyword gap

  1. Search the primary keyword in SEMrush.
  2. Identify the competitors.
  3. Run a keyword gap analysis: your site + the competitors.
  4. Identify the missing keywords.
  5. Export the complete list.1

Stage 4: keyword mapping

Prompt 1 (first)

These are my website pages and posts. Keep them in context for the next keyword mapping task. [Paste sitemaps]

Prompt 2 (after)

These are missing keywords from competitors. Map them with existing pages. Identify: which page targets which keyword, which keywords need new pages, which need blog posts, where to improve current content. [Paste keyword gap export]

Important

Give the context prompt first: follow the sequence.

The core formula

Competitor research + real user data + GSC data + keyword gap + AI analysis + implementation = a continuously better website = better rankings = better revenue

"Tools only give you data. The actual result depends on your research, implementation and consistency." (Sir Khurram Malik)

Tip

This is not a one-time process: repeat it continuously, and the website and its rankings keep improving.
